About Us

Aloka was born from a lifelong relationship with the ocean and an enthusiasm for all things related. Having spent many moons in the waters of remote beaches around Aotearoa, the ocean has heavily influenced our outlook, passions, and pursuits. Aloka’s primary purpose is to celebrate surfing and art.

We promote microbrands and rising artists through our concept store as well as craft hand shaped surfboards.

Also, a portion of all our profits go to The Kangyur Rinpoche Foundation. It’s an NGO that oversees a number of initiatives including supporting humanitarian and environmental associations in order to create a positive impact to the future generations (both human and animal).
